Privacy Policy

Overview

StudentKit Nigeria is a website of study tools and guides. The tools run entirely in your browser. This policy explains what information is and is not handled when you use the site.

Information we collect

StudentKit does not ask you to create an account and has no database of its own. The tools (CGPA calculator, study planner, quiz, exam planner and percentage calculator) process the values you type on your device; those values are not transmitted to us.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosting providers, Vercel may automatically process standard technical information (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in its server logs to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site. See Vercel's own privacy documentation for details of its processing.

We also use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which collect usage and device information through cookies and similar technologies. These are described in the "Cookies and analytics" and "Advertising" sections below.

Information you provide

If you contact us by email, we receive the email address you send from and whatever you choose to include in your message, so we can reply. The site itself has no contact form that stores or transmits messages.

Local storage on your device

Some tools can save your entries on your own device using your browser's local storage, so your work is still there when you return — for example your CGPA course list or a generated study timetable. This data:

• stays in your browser on your device;
• is not sent to us or to anyone else;
• can be removed at any time using the "Clear saved data" / "Clear saved plan" button in the tool, or by clearing your browser's site data.

Cookies and analytics

StudentKit uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-HKMPHM5V39) to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited, and general device and approximate-location information. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process your IP address and usage data on our behalf to produce these statistics. We use it to improve the site, not to identify you personally.

You can control or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept these cookies or continue with only essential ones. Until you accept, analytics and advertising cookies are set to "denied" (Google Consent Mode). You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the site footer.

Advertising

StudentKit uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Ads may take time to appear while the site is reviewed, and some ad areas may remain empty.

Data retention and security

Because the tools do not send your inputs to us, we do not retain them. Anything saved locally remains on your device until you clear it. Email you send us is kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry. Server logs are handled by our hosting provider, Vercel, under its own retention practices. We take reasonable care, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

• Clear your locally saved tool data at any time (see "Local storage" above).
• Use the tools without providing any personal details — no account is required.
• Contact us about any information you have sent us by email.
• Limit or block cookies in your browser settings.
• Opt out of Google Analytics with the opt-out add-on, and manage ad personalisation in Google Ads Settings.
